Cotton duck diary-in-progress is a series of works in progress. A total of 7 works are planned,
representing 7 odd-number months between November 2011 and November 2012. For
this exhibition, 5 pieces (November 2011,
January 2012, March 2012, May 2012 and July 2012) are displayed. Through this
series, she expresses the dynamic energy of popular manga culture and
identifies herself as a fan who shares a similar cultural vocabulary with other
manga fans.
The growth process of cotton
duck diary can be appreciated during Alexis’s residency showcase at
Studio Miu Art in December 2012, in
which the entire series will be on display and further worked upon in studio.
